The 3rd vintage of Cutter Cascadia's #1 Grandpa is a co-ferment of Chardonnay and Riesling from Hillside Vineyards in the Dalles. It sees a few days of skin contact but no extraction, which means less tannin than your average orange wine and a more acid driven, high-toned wine full of salty, coastal undertones. It's rested in old neutral barrels, bottled unfiltered and unfined with a kiss of SO2 and that's it. Nice tropical notes from the Chardonnay mingle with candied elderflower notes from the Riesling for thirst-quenching summer sipper perfect for just about everything you might get up to in this summer heat.
