A blend comprising 80% Pinot Noir balanced with the relatively obscure Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt, this refreshing frizzante is full of fruity aromatics while remaining dry and dangerously drinkable. Meinklang is a small family farm in eastern Austria, where the owners use biodynamic methods to grow grapes, vegetables and herbs, employing heirloom cattle breeds to provide rich fertilizer for the soil and cultivating bee-friendly habitats to assist with pollination. In the cellar, they rely on ambient native yeasts for fermentation, taking a hands-off approach in an effort to highlight the region’s unique terroir. ‘Prosa’ was developed as a celebration wine, first served at the owners’ wedding, and it remains the perfect wine to share with friends.
