Babcia Bread has developed something of a cult following over the last year or two, and for good reason: baker Tommy Celt has an otherworldly way with laminated pastry (his pastrami and swiss croissant is a stroke of genius). Likewise Jason Wahlberg & Lauren Alameda-Reddell of Dear Francis, a micro-roaster with deep roots in the West Coast coffee scene who primarily focus on blends (as opposed to single origin) and aim to make coffee more accessible to everyone, snobs be damned. Together, Babcia & Dear Francis represent the best of the local food scene, and they’re popping up this Sunday at our SE Portland location for a few hours of mindblowing morning deliciousness that is not to be missed.
