Legendary Stumptown founder Duane Sorenson returns to the coffee world with Puff, his newly launched, Portland-based microroastery. Relationships forged over decades in the industry allows Duane to work directly with coffee farmers, as with this Kenya Nyeri Peaberry processed at Riakiberu Factory, part of the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society who currently serves over 1500 farmer-members. Some say that peaberries (the small, round shaped beans that they separate by running through a series of vibrating screens) are sweeter, due to higher density, and this coffee offers notes of rosé wine, raspberry, and cane sugar.
