When chef Bonnie Morales opened Kachka in 2014, it soon became one of Portland's most beloved spots, quickly earning accolades for its "Russian drinking food," house-infused vodkas, and cheeky interior inspired by Belarussian country homes. The house-made pork, beef, and veal dumplings, called Pelmeni, have been on the menu since day one, and have become one of Kachka's signature dishes; lucky for us, they're now available to enjoy at home! Quick and easy, they're ready in about 5 minutes, and are best enjoyed simply dressed with a little vinegar, sour cream, and any chopped fresh herbs you have on hand.
