Produced by Fred JerbisPolcenigo - ItalyVermut 25 begins with high-quality wine made from native Verduzzo grapes— which are aged for almost a year and intentionally slightly oxidized—before the addition of 25 botanicals, including 3 varieties of wormwood. The mildly oxidative wine lends a marsala-like depth to this complex vermouth, as does the addition of burnt sugar. The end result is rich and nuanced, finely herbaceous but persistent, citrusy and pleasantly bitter but very smooth and round. Exceptional.
