Another gem from Dacha Wines, Awake is bright and lively blend of Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, and Albarino, perfect for the hot days and warm evenings of summer. From winemaker Isabel Newlin:

This is a blend of white grapes from three different vineyards, a hodge-podge necessitated by the low yields in 2022 thanks to a hard April frost. Most of the fruit, however, is Gewurztraminer from Two Rivers Farm in Aurora OR, which hosts an acre of vines planted in 1977 that I am very excited to be working with going forward. The community at Two Rivers follows the teachings of George Gurdjieff, an Armenian philosopher of the late 19th and early 20th century. He proposed, among other things, that most people wander through life in a kind of hypnotic sleep, but that it is possible to 'awake' with a lot of self-work.
