Based in Corvallis, Oregon and using fruit mostly from the southern Willamette and Umpqua Valleys, Dacha Wines is a brand new project from young vigneron Isabel Newllin. Isabel spent part of her childhood in France, where she caught the wine bug early, and worked on the sales side of the industry in New York before heading back to Europe to get hands-on vineyard experience. She came to Oregon 3 years ago with the express purpose of making wine here, and has just released her first proper vintage comprised entirely of fruit she farms herself on roughly 9 acres. This 100% Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is bright, well-structured, and begging for a summer picnic, its high-toned fruit shot through with shimmering, thirst-quenching acidity and delicate aromatics. We can't wait to see what comes next.
